According to PTI, Ajit Pawar-led NCP is likely to retain the Finance portfolio, while BJP will in all likelihood continue to hold the Home department, which is they way it was under the Eknath Shinde government.
Shiv Sena, which is headed by Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, said on Friday that its leader is pressing for the Home portfolio. The Mahayuti allies are in discussions over portfolio allocation and this is going to be the primary issue for the special session.
According to reports, Eknath Shinde was reluctant to accept the Deputy CM position initially but was persuaded by Sena leaders.
