‘Your Service Will Be Remembered’: Anand Mahindra’s Farewell To Manmohan Singh

Anand Mahindra posted a heartfelt note on X on the demise of former Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh (1932-2024). Singh was a notable economist, author, and the Prime Minister of India from 2004 to 2014.

Obituaries Pour In

PM Narendra Modi expressed his grief on social media, stating, “India mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished leaders, Dr Manmohan Singh Ji. Rising from humble origins, he rose to become a respected economist. His interventions in Parliament were insightful, and as Prime Minister, he made extensive efforts to improve people’s lives.”

Business tycoon Gautam Adani also paid tribute to the late leader, recalling Dr. Singh's pivotal role in India's 1991 economic reforms. Adani stated, "Deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Manmohan Singh. History will forever honour his pivotal role in the transformative 1991 reforms that reshaped India and opened its doors to the world."

Adani praised Dr Singh's humility and leadership, saying, “A rare leader who spoke softly but achieved monumental strides through his actions. His life remains a masterclass in leadership, humility, and service to the nation.”
