Blinkit Launches 10-Minute Ambulance Service In Gurugram

Albinder Dhindsa, CEO of Blinkit, took to X and expressed in a post that the company will be launching ambulance services in Gurugram.
In a post on X on Thursday, the quick commerce firm Chief Executive Officer wrote, "Ambulance in 10 minutes. We are taking our first step towards solving the problem of providing quick and reliable ambulance service in our cities. The first five ambulances will be on the road in Gurugram starting today."
Dhindsa added that as the company expands the service to more areas, users will start seeing an option to book a Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance through the Blinkit app.
The quick-commerce firm chief also assured users that the facility is not launched with profit as a goal and the aim is to expand to all major cities in the next two years.
“Our ambulances are equipped with essential life-saving equipment, including oxygen cylinders, AED (Automated External Defibrillator), stretcher, monitor, suction machine, and essential emergency medicines and injections,” he added in his post.
Additionally, each ambulance will have a paramedic, an assistant and a trained driver, he said.
The company aims to operate this at an affordable cost for customers and invest in really solving this critical problem for the long term, he wrote.
He also urged users to do their bit and make way for an ambulance always, while expressing plans of scaling up the service and expanding to all major cities over the next two years.
The post also displayed a picture of the introductory announcement, where the price was mentioned to be Rs 2,000, with the message that neonatal or ventilator care will not be supported.
