Adani Energy: Adani Energy Solutions Ltd announced on Monday that it has secured the Khavda Phase IV Part-A transmission project of 298-km SPV with an investment of Rs 4,091 crore. The project, Khavda IVA Power Transmission Ltd, was formed earlier by REC Power Development and Consultancy Ltd to evacuate 7,000 MW of green energy from the Khavda Renewable Energy Park in Gujarat.
AESL would develop the project on a BOOT basis over the next 24 months. The project envisages laying 298 km (596 ckm) of transmission line, installation of 300 MVAr STATCOM and 3x1500 MVA, 765/400 kV Inter-connecting Transformers (ICTs), and 1x330 MVAr, 765 kV and 1x125 MVAr, 420 kV bus reactors.
AESL emerged as the winner through a price-based competitive bidding process. AESL will operate and maintain the infrastructure for 35 years upon completion.
Commenting on the occasion, Kandarp Patel, CEO of AESL, said, "As the world's largest renewable energy park, Khavda demands power evacuation infrastructure that is not only world-class but resilient and future-ready."
