Mercedes Benz EQS 580 SUV launched in India at Rs 1.41 crore, claimed range of 809 km

Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 SUV: Mercedes-Benz India, one of the leading luxury auto manufacturers launched a new EV in its portfolio, the EQS 580 SUV at Rs 1.41 crore (ex-showroom) in India. The EQS 580 SUV is powered by a 122 kWh battery pack with a claimed range output of 809 km and has a claimed time of 0-100 km/h of 4.7 seconds. The EQS 580 SUV mainly rivals the BMW iX and the Audi Q8 e-Tron in its segment.

EQS 580 SUV price:

Mercedes-Benz launched the EQS 580 SUV at an introductory price of Rs 1.41 crore (ex-showroom) in India. It mainly rivals the Audi Q8 e-Tron and BMW iX in its segment.

EQS 580 SUV exterior design:

The exterior design of the EQS 580 SUV is similar to the EQS 680 Maybach model. The exterior design is smooth but has less chrome than the EQS Maybach variant. The EQS 580 SUV has characteristics of the EQ family, having connected LED DRLs at the front and the rear and, a large black grill.

The SUV has 5136mm length, 1965mm width, and 1718mm height. From the side, it is offered with 21-inch AMG alloy wheels and options for upgrading are also available.

From the rear, the connected LED DRLs and the taillamp enhance the luxury character, and the rear parking camera pops out of the Mercedes logo. The EQS 580 SUV has a similar design to the EQS 680 Maybach.

EQS 580 SUV interiors and features:

The interiors of the Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 SUV are similar to the EQS 680 Maybach SUV. There is a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, a 17.7-inch infotainment system, and a 12.3-inch passenger side screen, featuring the 56-inch hyperscreen which comes equipped with an MBUX system. Since the EQS Maybach is offered in a four or five-seater configuration, the EQS 580 SUV will be offered in a seven-seater configuration as well. It has long list of features such as puddle lamps, illuminated running boards, a 15-speaker Burmester sound system, soft-close doors, five-zone climate control, etc.

The EQS 580 SUV is powered by a 122 kWh battery pack, having the ARAI claimed range of 809km. The EQS 580 SUV has dual motors present at both axles and comes with the rear-axle steering wheel as well. The dual motors churn out 536 BHP and 858 Nm torque and have a claimed 0-100 km/h sprint time of 4.7 seconds. The battery on the EQS 580 supports up to 200kW DC fast charging as well.
