Apple Intelligence update: Apple is expected to start rolling out Apple Intelligence features to all its supported devices later this month. As per reports, the company will roll out first major updates to its operating systems, iOS, iPadOS and macOS on October 28, which will bring Apple Intelligence supported features to the company's devices. That said, not all Apple device owners will be able to access Apple Intelligence features. Apple has set some conditions that users must meet in order to access Apple Intelligence powered features.
So, before Apple begins rolling out Apple Intelligence update to its users globally, here are five things users should know about it:

Supported devices and OS update
As mentioned before, Apple device owners will need to have a supported device running iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, or macOS Sequoia 15.1 to use Apple Intelligence-based features. List of supported devices include:

iPhones: iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
iPads: M1 iPad Pro and newer models and M1 iPad Air and newer models.

Macs: M1 MacBook Air and newer models, M1 MacBook Pro and newer models, M1 iMac and newer models, M1 Mac Mini and newer models, M1 Max Mac Studio and newer model, and M2 Ultra Mac Pro and newer models.
Ample storage space

Shortly after the iPhone 16 series announcement, Apple confirmed that users will need at least 4GB of storage space on their iPhones to run Apple Intelligence-powered features. However, the company hasn't specifified storage requirements for its iPads and Macs.
Device language and Siri language
Apple is limiting Apple Intelligence supported devices to devices that have US English set as their device and Siri languages. The company is expected to roll out support for more languages over time.
– To change device language on iPhone or iPad, follow these steps: Settings app > General > Select Language & Region > Add Language > US English > US English.
– To change Siri language on iPhone or iPad, follow these steps: Settings app > Siri & Search > US English > US English.
Apple device location
Apple Intelligence features will not be supported in the European Union and China at the time of initial roll out. This means that users residing in these territories will not be able to use Apple Intelligence features.
Apple Intelligence Waitlist approval
Apple device owners will have to join a special waitlist for Apple Intelligence. They will also have to get approval to access all AI features. This is being done as Apple Intelligence will roll out in beta mode later this month.
