Himachal Presh High Court has issued an order attaching Himachal Bhawan in New Delhi, on account of Congress-led government's failure to pay Electricity Department's dues.

Previously, Congress government led by Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu in state h ignored previous orders by authorities where it was asked to repay Rs 64 crore, which has come up to Rs 150 crore due to a 7 per cent interest.

dues can be traced back to 400 MW Seli Hydro Project on Chenab river in Lahaul-Spiti. High Court h previously warned state government that failure to pay dues would le to serious consequences. It furr asserted that funds involved were from state treasury.

Himachal Bhawan Sale Story

reason that Himachal Bhawan is now going on sale is because high court has allowed state government to auction building to recover outstanding amount.
