RJ Simran Singh's Death: What We Know So Far

A 25-year-old Instagram influencer and popular radio jockey, Simran Singh died by suicide and was found dead in her Gurugram apartment on Thursday.

In a post on X, JKNC, the political party in Jammu and Kashmir expressed profound grief over the "tragic & untimely demise of Simran Singh".

Popularly known as RJ Simran and lovingly referred to as "Jammu Ki Dhadkan," by her fans, she had last posted on Instagram on December 13, 2024.

According to several reports police are suspecting suicide as the likely cause of death. An official statement is however awaited, while her body has been handed over to the family.

The police was alerted by Simran's friends who were concerned as she had stopped responding to their calls and messages for several hours.

"Simran’s voice and charm resonated with the spirit of Jammu and Kashmir. Her contribution to the cultural fabric of our region will always be remembered," said Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah.

Who Is RJ Simran?

Simran Singh is a popular influencer and a radio jockey with 682,000 followers on Instagram. She was also associated with a radio station before she left and started work as a freelance radio jockey.

She got fame on Instagram through her humorous reels.

Her death has sent shockwaves through the social media community, with many of her fans and followers taking to social media to express their condolences and pay tribute to her memory.
