Deoghar, Jharkhand: PM Narendra Modi 's aircraft, on Friday, suffered a technical snag at Jharkhand's Deoghar. The flight was reportedly grounded at Deoghar airport before taking off. According to agency reports, the technical snag in PM Narendra Modi's aircraft caused a delay in his return to Delhi.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi's aircraft experienced a technical snag due to which the aircraft has to remain at Deoghar airport causing some delay in his return to Delhi,” news agency ANI reported. The reasons behind the reported snag in PM Narendra Modi's aircraft have yet not been disclosed by the government.

Prime Minister Modi was in Jharkhand to mark the anniversary of Birsa Munda, the tribal icon ahead of the second phase of polling in Jharkhand. The second phase of Jharkhand Assembly Elections is slated to take place on November 20. Voting for the first phase of the Jharkhand assembly elections has already concluded, with voting taking place in 43 out of the state's 81 seats. The counting will be held on November 23.

The development comes shortly after Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi's chopper faced a delay in taking off as it waited for clearance from the Air Traffic Control (ATC). Visuals of the incident showed Rahul Gandhi waiting in the chopper at the Deoghar airport.
