PM Modi In Nigeria, Thanks President Tinubu For ‘Memorable Visit'
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently in Nigeria, visiting the country, as part of a three-nation tour to strengthen ties between India and Nigeria.

In this tour PM Modi would also be visiting Brazil and Guyana.

"At invitation of H.E. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, this will be my first visit to Nigeria, which is our close partner in West African region. My visit will be an opportunity to build upon our Strategic Partnership that is based on shared belief in democracy and pluralism. I am also eagerly looking forward to meeting Indian community and friends from Nigeria who have sent me warm welcome messages in Hindi," Prime Minister said in a statement issued by Ministry of External Affairs before his departure from Delhi.
Consequently, Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu took to social media platform X to say that he was looking forward to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's first visit to, which was also first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Nigeria since 2007.

After having visited country PM Modi posted some glimpses of his welcome in Abuja, Nigeria and met Marathi community re as y collectively expressed joy at Marathi being conferred status of a Classical Language re.

He later took to X to appreciate how "truly commendable" it was to see m "remain connected to ir culture and roots."
