The much-awaited TATA IPL 2025 Player Auction is currently live in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and will continue till tomorrow, i.e., November 25th, 2024. With marquee players, intense bidding, and high stakes, this event promises to be a game-changer for the next three IPL seasons.

Day 1: Players Take the Stage  

The auction kicks off with a star-studded lineup featuring Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, and Arshdeep Singh, among others.  A total of 117 players will go under the hammer on Day 1, setting the tone for a fierce battle between franchises.

The Big Picture: Slots and Teams  

With 10 franchises competing, the auction will determine team compositions for the next three years.  
A total of 204 slots are available, with 70 reserved for overseas players. Each team can have a maximum of 25 players in their squad, adding to the competitive intensity.  


This year’s player pool features a diverse mix of talent, ensuring exciting options for every team with 574 released players, including 366 Indians and 208 overseas players.  Among them, there are 318 uncapped Indian players, 12 uncapped overseas players, and 3 players from associate nations.

Price Brackets Out:


The auction introduces dynamic pricing to cater to various franchise strategies. The highest reserve price is Rs 2 crore, with 81 players listed in this elite category. The largest group, with 320 players, falls into the Rs 30 lakh price bracket, offering budget-friendly options.
