The high-octane elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand are over and the Exit Polls are predicting a return of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Mahayuti in Maharashtra. In Jharkhand as well, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), led by the BJP is projected to return to power. It may be noted that the Maharashtra Assembly has 288 seats and the winning party/ alliance will have to cross the 144-seat mark in order to form a government in the state.
In the 81-seater Jharkhand Assembly, the party/ alliance, which secures 41 seats or more can form the government. The counting of votes under the Maharashtra Assembly Election Result 2024 and Jharkhand Assembly Election Result 2024 will take place on November 23, 2024.
Maharashtra Exit Polls 2024: Who will return to power in Maharashtra?
After a slow start in Maharashtra, voter turnout started to pick up throughout the day. Till 5 pm, Maharashtra recorded 58.22 voter turnout, according to the Election Commission of India. Till 3 pm, the turnout stood at 45.53% in the single-phase assembly elections on Wednesday.
P-MARQ Exit Poll Prediction in Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024
* According to P-MARQ exit poll prediction, the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance may have an edge against Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA).
* The Mahayuti may win 137-157 seats, MVA may get 126-146 while others might bag somewhere between 2-8 seats.
* According to P-MARQ, Mahayuti is expected to get a 42 per cent vote share, even as the Maha Vikas Aghadi may get 41 per cent and 17 per cent for the independents.

* The Matrize exit poll has predicted a clear victory for the Mahayuti alliance.
* It has predicted 150-170 seats for Mahayuti, 110-130 seats for Maha Vikas Aghadi and 8-10 seats for independent candidates.
