In a recent Zerodha's Founder & CEO, Nithin Kamath wrote on X about his recent trip to Europe. He spoke about the diversity of India and the population of each state being equivalent to some European countries.
What Was Nithin Kamath's Tweet?
Kamath wrote, "I recently returned from visiting several countries in Europe. Everything feels like a cut, copy, and paste with very small differences.
In contrast, India is more like a continent than a country. The diversity in terms of languages, food, culture, etc., between the 28 states and within each state is nuts.
Every time I think of this, I am amazed at how the country actually came together.
I had shared this earlier 👇"
Kamth said, sharing a visual of world's population compared to India.
The Post Drew A Flurry Of Responses
One X user wrote, "Well, we have uniformity of air pollution, bad roads and garbage lined streets,". Another said, "The core reason for this is the philosophy of “ekam sat vipraha bahudha vadanti”i.e, wise men refer to the same truth in multiple ways. This is what allows us to accept a variety of lifestyles, cultures, gods, etc. We see a change every 50 kms. No theological standardization."
One user seemed to disagree with Kamath's stance, "The more I see of Bharat, the more I see similarities: Sounds, smells, languages, varna-malas, rituals, sanskriti ... The similarities are mind boggling!" the user wrote.
Nithin Kamath has been an active poster on X, his previous posts addressing the issue of India's air pollution and the rise of diabetes in the country.
