AMFI November 2024 Data: Mutual Fund Folios At All-Time High Of 22.08 Crore - Check Numbers

The mutual fund folios in the country were at an all-time high at 22,08,14,387 in November 2024, in the country according to a report.

As per the AMFI's Highlights of Mutual Fund Industry, the mutual fund industry's net Assets Under Management (AUM) stands at approximately Rs 68.08 lakh crores for the month of November 2024.

Additionally, retail mutual fund folios, which comprise of equity, hybrid, as well as solution oriented schemes, had an AUM of almost Rs 40 lakh crores (Rs 39,70,220), the report added.

According to the report, the number of new SIPs that were registered in November 2024 was 49,46,408 and in October 2024, the number further rose to 63,69,919.

The SIP AUM stood at Rs 13.54 lakh crores for November 2024.

SIPs also contributed a total of Rs 25,319.66 crores in November 2024, to the mutual fund industry and that number rose to Rs 25,322.74 in October.

"The number of SIP accounts stood at highest ever at  10,22,66,590 in November 2024 as compared to  10,12,34,212 in Sept 2024," the report added.

The report further highlighted that a total of 18 schemes were launched in the month of November for mutual funds, which were all in the category of open-ended schemes, raising a total of Rs 4,052 crores.

"Defying a tumultuous month in the equity market, the mutual fund industry's assets reached a new pinnacle of Rs 68.08 lakh crore, driven primarily by robust inflows into growth-/equity-oriented schemes. The unwavering monthly SIP inflows remained above Rs 25,000 crore in November, showcasing the investors' long-term vision and commitment to their financial goals, despite the short-term market fluctuations," said Venkat Chalasani, Chief Executive of AMFI said.

"The industry's ability to attract consistent SIP flows is a vote of confidence in its ability to deliver value to investors over the long term," he added.
