The Indian stock exchanges NSE and BSE will be closed on November 15, Friday on account of Guru Nanak Jayanti. The Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) will remain shut in the first half from 9 am to 5 pm and resume operations in the evening session between 5 pm to 11:30 pm. The National Commodity & Derivates Exchange (NCDEX) will remain closed for both the sessions. The former does not include agriculture products while the latter does. The market will also remain closed on 16th November on account of Assembly elections in Maharashtra, and 25th December for Christmas. As per BSE holiday chart, they have 16 holidays this year, between January 22 and December 25, out of which five were on Saturday or Sunday.
The markets are at an all time low since July 2024 on account of relentless sale by FIIS. On Thursday 2pm, Nifty was trading at 23,522.30, down by 37 points. If the market ends in the red zone today, it will be the sixth straight day to do so.
