Tata Investment share surges 20% after long consolidation, Q1 earnings zoom
The shares of the company recorded this strong surge after a phase of consolidation and reported a bumper rise in its earnings for Q1FY25.

Tata Investment share price: On Tuesday, the shares of Tata Investment surged 20 per cent to hit its upper circuit at Rs 7406.15 apiece buoyed by strong trading volume and broader market optimism.
As Tuesday’s trading session comes to an end, the shares of the company settled Rs 1,235 higher from its opening price.
The trading volume of the stock surged over 14 times than that of its two-week average quantity, rising from 2,954 shares to over 42,000 shares. The company recorded its all-time high of Rs 9,744.40 apiece on March 7, 2024, after which the price remained relatively stagnant.
The shares of the company recorded this strong surge after a phase of consolidation and reported a bumper rise in its earnings for the first quarter of the current financial year (Q1FY2025).
For the quarter ended June 2024, the company has reported a 1 per cent uptick on a year-on-year (YoY) basis in the revenue from operations, rising to Rs 167.47 crore. While the revenue jumped over 108 per cent sequentially for the first quarter of the current fiscal.
The company’s net profit also recorded a 116.75 per cent rise sequentially to Rs 131.07 crore.
Tata Investment is a subsidiary of Tata Sons, a holding company of the Tata Group. The company invests in a portfolio of quoted and unquoted securities of companies, including companies from the Tata Group. Generally, holding companies do not have operations of their own and they own investments in other listed companies, largely within the same group.
Both the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange have put the securities of Tata Investment under the long-term ASM (Additional Surveillance Measure) framework
