Sensex, Nifty Trade Flat In Early Trade, NTPC Green Share Flat On Day 2
The shares of the market debutant NTPC Green were trading flat after hitting its upper circuit on Wednesday.

Stock Market Open: The domestic bourses opened on a flat note on Thursday after ending on a positive note on November 27. The BSE’s 30-share Sensitive Index was trading 22 points or 0.03 per cent lower, sustaining above the crucial 80,200 mark. On the other hand, NSE’s broader Nifty 50 was trading completely flat with only one point up move in the initial trading minutes.
The shares of the market debutant NTPC Green were trading flat after hitting its upper circuit on Wednesday. The shares of the company fell in the early minutes and were trading Rs 0.85 up at Rs 122.95 apiece as of 09:48 am.
Top Gainers, Top Losers
The positive side of the mixed market sentiment was led by Gautam Adani’s Adani Enterprises which continued its gain from Wednesday, surging 1.44 per cet as of 09:37 am. The top gainer was followed by HDFC Life, Hindustan Unilever, and ITC which gained 1.22, 1.12 and 1.06 per cent in the early trade.
The information and technology major Infosys was dragging the market down with a 1.10 per cent decline followed by other IT majors including Tech Mahindra, TCS, and Wipro which were also trading in red.
Sectoral Perforamance
In terms of industries, the majority of the NSE’s sectoral indices were trading in green led by Nifty Realty which inched 1.27 per cent up. However, the strong declines in IT majors drove the Nifty IT down by 1.09 per cent.
Oil and Gas, media, metals, and FMCG were other key sectors which were showing a positive move.
Broader Market Indices
On Thursday morning, all the broader market indices including Nifty 100, Nifty Midcap 100, Nifty Smallcap 100, and Nifty Microcap 250 were trading in green.
Nifty Microcap 250 was the top-performing index with a 1.12 per cent up move followed by Nifty Smallcap 100 which also surged 0.93 per cent.
