Nifty set to open on a flat note amid weak global cues
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth Rs 1,735 crore on Monday while domestic institutional investors bought shares worth Rs 356 crore.

The Indian equity benchmarks are set to open on a flat note as indicated by Nifty futures traded at Gift City in Gandhinagar. Gift Nifty futures fell 0.03 per cent or 6 points to 25,358 amid subdued global cues.
Most of the Asian markets were trading lower with Japan's Nikkei falling 0.31 per cent, Hong Kong's Hang Seng declining 0.6 per cent, China's Shanghai Composite falling 0.27 per cent and South Korea's KOSPI falling 0.12 per cent.
Australian shares fell in lacklustre trade on Tuesday, weighed down by mining and consumer staples stocks, while investors were cautious ahead of local economic data that could drive the country's monetary policy forward. The S&P/ASX 200 index fell 0.4 per cent to 8,078.5 by 6:40 am.
Back home, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth Rs 1,735 crore on Monday while domestic institutional investors bought shares worth Rs 356 crore, data from the National Stock Exchange showed.
Foreign investors bought shares worth Rs 7,322 crore in August, data from NSDL showed.
The NSE benchmark Nifty 50 index rose for 13th straight session on Monday logging in the longest spell of gains since inception.
