Tata Consumer Products merges three subsidiaries to streamline operations
In a regulatory filing, the company said all conditions under Clause 17 of the merger scheme, including the filing of certified copies.

Tata Consumer: Tata Consumer Products Ltd, one of the leading FMCG companies, has completed the merger of its three wholly-owned subsidiaries after receiving necessary approvals from the National Company Law Tribunal and other regulatory bodies. The three subsidiaries, namely, Tata Consumer Soulful Pvt Ltd, NourishCo Beverages Ltd, and Tata SmartFoodz Ltd are now part of the books of TCPL.
In a regulatory filing, the company said all conditions under Clause 17 of the merger scheme, including the filing of certified copies with the Registrar of Companies, have been met. The merger shall take effect from September 1, 2024.
It is part of the continuous effort of TCPL to simplify and streamline its business operations. The proposed consolidation is likely to facilitate leveraging operational efficiencies and synergies. However, the operating structures of the merged entities shall remain the same, with millet-based products, ready-to-drink beverages, and ready-to-cook/ready-to-eat items being the key growth areas of the company.
Its diversified portfolio comprises tea, coffee, water, salt, pulses, spices, cereals, snacks, and mini-meals. The company, with a consolidated turnover of ₹15,206 crore, is known for its major brands comprising Tata Tea, Tetley, Organic India, Eight O'Clock Coffee, Tata Coffee Grand, Himalayan Natural Mineral Water, Tata Copper+, and Tata Gluco+.
