Axis Finance appoints Sai Giridhar as New MD and CEO

New MD and CEO: Axis Finance Limited (AFL) said that it appointed Sai Giridhar as its new Managing Director and CEO 'designate'. It is awaiting the due regulatory approvals to be effective. Sai Giridhar has replaced Bipin Saraf, who has driven Axis Finance since 2013 and will now return to Axis Bank to assume Bharat Banking.
With over 28 years of experience in the banking sector, Sai Giridhar has taken on key leadership roles at various leading private-sector banks. He is known for developing and executing business strategies, managing end-to-end P&L, and driving growth across consumer lending products. His past roles have also involved significant contributions to consumer risk management and digital innovation.
Amitabh Chaudhry, Axis Finance Chairperson, welcomed Sai Giridhar and said, "As Axis Finance enters its next chapter of growth, I am confident that with Sai's leadership, the team is well-positioned to strengthen our market position in the NBFC space." He emphasised the company's journey from being a corporate lending institution to becoming a full-scale financial services company focused on Retail and SME business capabilities.
