Maruti Suzuki E-Vitara India Launch: Date Revealed - Check Design, Battery Details

At the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo, Maruti Suzuki , a passenger car manufacturer in India is set to display the production-ready e Vitara SUV. At an international gathering in Milan, the Suzuki e Vitara made its premiere on a global scale.
The Heartect E platform serves as the foundation for Maruti Suzuki's forthcoming EV. The platform is intended for battery-electric vehicles, the business claims. The Maruti Suzuki Vitara will be produced at its Gujarat plant and sold in India before reaching international markets like Europe and Japan.
“The e VITARA is a testament of our unwavering commitment to sustainable mobility and technological innovation. With decades of automotive expertise, we have combined advanced electric technology with a customer-first approach to deliver something truly transformative,” Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said.
He also talked about hindrance in the adoption of EV and possible approach towards tackling it.
“A critical barrier to the adoption of EVs is the lack of accessible charging. To tackle this issue, we are committed to introduce a reliable and comprehensive EV ecosystem alongside the e VITARA. This will include home charging solutions as well as a nationwide network of fast chargers available at Maruti Suzuki dealerships and service touchpoints,” Banerjee added.
Maruti Suzuki e Vitara: SUV's specifications
- Vitara and Maruti Suzuki batteries: Two 49kWh and 61kWh battery packs will be included with the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara. BYD's LFP batteries will be included with the e Vitara. Additionally, the 61kWh battery pack will feature the All-Grip e all-wheel drive system.
- Design of the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara: The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara features angular cuts and folds. With its LED headlamps and DRLs, the front design exudes muscle. The carmaker claims that its two-box architecture will function equally well on an ICE counterpart.
