How to use two mobile numbers simultaneously on WhatsApp

WhatsApp trick for better experience: The Meta-owned chat app is one of the most popular platforms for instant messaging. It offers several advanced features, including end-to-end encryption, which safeguard the contents of your chats, including photos and videos, from any snooping attempts. That is one of the reasons why WhatsApp allowed only one account on a single instance of the app on a device. In other words, you could use one account per device. However, the app recently relaxed the rules to allow adding a secondary account in the same app on a single device.

The new addition, now available to all users on Android, lets you add a different mobile number and create an account using it. You can access both your accounts in the app’s single instance on your phone, eliminating the need for workarounds like the one involving a clone of WhatsApp on supported smartphones. Here is how the feature works and how you can use it.

How to add a secondary account to WhatsApp

– Go to WhatsApp’s settings by tapping the three dots on the top right corner of the app.
– Head to Settings where you will see the app’s configurations and your profile.
– Tap the button represented by a downward arrow inside a circle, next to the QR code icon in the same section as your profile name.
– A pop-up will appear towards the bottom of the app, prompting you to “Add account.”
– Tapping it will launch a new screen where you can sign up with a new mobile number or sign in to an existing account after you have hit the “Agree and continue” button.

Both accounts will run simultaneously on your device and will not require you to go for workarounds. However, this feature is currently available only on Android-powered devices, such as phones and tablets. WhatsApp has not said anything on when it is planning to launch it on iPhones.
