The much-anticipated Maharashtra cabinet expansion unfolded in Nagpur today, with 30 ministers taking the oath of office in a grand ceremony held at the Raj Bhavan. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar presided over the event, showcasing the collective strength of the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by senior party leaders and supporters, with CM Fadnavis emphasizing the cabinet's strategic composition to bolster governance and deliver on key promises.

The new cabinet includes a blend of experienced leaders and fresh faces from the BJP, Shiv Sena, and the NCP factions. Key inductees include:
Shiv Sena MLAs Shambhuraj Desai, Uday Samant, Sanjay Rathod, and Dada Bhuse.
BJP leaders Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Ashok Uike, Atul Save, Girish Mahajan, Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Ganesh Naik, and Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil.
NCP stalwarts like Dhananjay Munde and Hasan Mushrif.
Pankaja Munde, daughter of the late BJP veteran Gopinath Munde, who took oath in a notable moment during the ceremony.
After being denied ministerial post, Shiv Sena MLA Narendra Bhondekar quits.
Rally and Tributes Precede Ceremony
Ahead of the ceremony, CM Fadnavis addressed a massive rally in Nagpur, outlining his vision for the state's development under the Mahayuti government. The Chief Minister also paid floral tributes to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, a gesture underscoring his administration’s commitment to inclusive progress.
The timing of the expansion aligns with the winter session of the Maharashtra Assembly, which begins in Nagpur on December 16.
