Good news for New Year’s Eve partygoers! Namma Metro has decided to extend its services until 2.40 AM on January 1. This will make it easier for Bengaluru residents to get home safely after their celebrations.
The last metro from Kempegowda Metro Station (Majestic) will leave at 2.40 AM, while trains from terminal stations like Silk Institute, Madavara, Challaghatta, and Whitefield (Kadugodi) will depart at 2 AM.
To manage crowds, MG Road Metro Station will shut at 11 PM, but Trinity and Cubbon Park stations will remain open for passengers.
Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has announced that trains will run at 10-minute intervals from 11 PM on December 31 through the extended hours. Commuters traveling from Trinity or Cubbon Park after 11 PM are advised to purchase return paper tickets priced at ₹50.
These tickets, along with travel cards and QR code tickets, will be valid for late-night travel. Paper tickets can be purchased at any Metro station starting at 8 AM on December 31.
To avoid overcrowding, passengers heading towards Whitefield or Silk Institute are advised to use Trinity Metro Station, while those travelling to Challaghatta or Madavara should board from Cubbon Park.
