The Indian stock exchanges, BSE and NSE, will remain closed on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, in observance of Christmas. This marks the last stock market holiday of the year. Global markets, including those in the UK, US, and Europe, will also remain shut on this day.

Stock Market On Budget Day
The BSE and NSE will operate on Saturday, February 1, 2025, for a special trading session on the day of the Union Budget 2025 presentation. The next market holiday will fall on February 26, 2025, for Mahashivratri.
Regular Trading Schedule
The Indian stock market operates Monday to Friday from 9:15 AM to 3:30 PM, with a pre-open session from 9:00 AM to 9:15 AM. Markets remain closed on weekends. Additional holidays provide traders with a breather and align with cultural, religious, or national observances such as Diwali or Gandhi Jayanti.
Although holidays provide a break, external events can still impact market sentiment. Traders are advised to stay updated on global developments and maintain a watchful eye on their portfolios to avoid missed opportunities or unexpected risks.
