Maserati GranTurismo launched at Rs 2.72 crore in India, rivals BMW M8
Maserati has launched the GranTurismo in India at Rs 2.72 crore (ex-showroom) and competes with Ferrari Roma. It is powered by a V6 twin-turbo petrol engine.

Maserati GranTurismo in India: Maserati has launched the GranTurismo in India at Rs 2.72 crore (ex-showroom). The Italian auto manufacturer has already launched the Modena, Trofeo, and Folgore in the international markets and will be launching its first electric model will be coming next year in India. The coupe-sedan features a sporty exterior and has a low-slung long bonnet design. The second-generation GranTurismo is powered by a 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine and will be competing against the Ferrari Roma.
Price and competition:
The Italian auto manufacturer, Maserati has launched the GranTurismo at Rs 2.72 crore (ex-showroom) in India. The Modena variant is priced at Rs 2.72 crore (ex-showroom) and the Trofeo is priced at Rs 2.9 crore (ex-showroom). The GranTurismo competes against the Porsche 911, Aston Martin Vantage, and the Ferrari Roma in India.
Design:
The design of the Maserati GranTurismo maintains its iconic design of a low-slung long bonnet. The front of the GranTurismo features the trident logo of Maserati along with air-intakes and vertically designed LED headlamps. It has dual-LED DRLs along with a projector setup for the headlamps. The air-intakes enhance the performance and the sporty aesthetics. From the side, the GranTurismo is featured with Maserati branding on the fenders and has regular old-schooled door handles for better aerodynamics. The sportscar runs on a staggered wheel size, having 20-inch at the front and 21-inch low-profile tyres at the rear, and offers all four disc brakes.
At the rear of the GranTurismo, the vehicle boasts slim taillights and quad exhausts which are integrated into the bumper. The quad exhaust sounds sporty on revving.

Interiors:
The interiors of the GranTurismo have a modernistic approach. The physical buttons which were present earlier are now replaced with a touchscreen infotainment system. It has a comprehensive feature list on offer, such as dual-zone climate control, wireless charger, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment, along drive-mode selector mount on the steering wheel. For the safety front, the GranTurismo is equipped with an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS).
Engine specifications:
The Maserati GranTurismo is powered by a 3.0-litre Nettuno twin-turbo V6 petrol engine. The Modena variant produces 490 BHP and 600 Nm torque, and the performance variant Trofeo produces 550 BHP and 650 Nm torque. Both engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox and come with an all-wheel drive powertrain. The Modena does a 0-100 kmph sprint in a claimed time of 3.9 seconds and the Trofeo does a 0-100 kmph sprint in 3.5 seconds.
