Made-in-India For The World: Maruti Announces Massive Plans To Export India-Made EVs To 100 Countries
The eVitara is expected to be showcased in a phased manner in NEXA dealerships nationwide, the company said in a statement.

Bharat Mobility Expo 2025: Maruti Suzuki India Limited, which announced its entry into India's EV market, said that the company will be exporting its Made in India EVs to over 100 countries in the world, Toshihiro Suzuki, Representative Director & President, Suzuki Motor Corporation said in the sidelines of the unveiling eVitara at the Global Mobility Expo.
Suzuki further revealed that Maruti has invested Rs 2,100 crore for its maiden EV offering and will begin its production in the coming months at the company's Gujarat plant. "The e-car would be exported to more than 100 countries of the world, including Europe and Japan," he added.
The eVitara can run up to 500 kms on a single charge, the company had earlier said. "Based on our study, we aim to make BEVs (battery electric vehicles) attractive to customers through a three-step strategy – to develop a BEV-dedicated platform for optimum performance, evolve the right product for the target markets, based on the customer requirements and leverage our global economies of scale and concentrate manufacturing at a single location, for the world," he added.
“For this purpose, we have chosen India as the global manufacturing base due to its quality products and scale merit”, he said while interacting with reporters at the Bharat Mobility 2025.

The company is also planning to launch a dedicated mobile app to simplify the EV charging journey for customers. Using the app, customers will be able to locate charging stations nearby, get real-time slot availability, charge their vehicles, and make payments seamlessly.
