Tata Motors on Friday unveiled its new Sport utility vehicle (SUV) Sierra and the electric variant of Harrier at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The homegrown carmaker also showcased the concept version of its luxury passenger vehicle AvinyaX.
In a video message, Tata Sons Executive Chairman and Tata Motors Chairman N Chandrasekaran said the rapid shift toward green energy and mobility, an irreversible global megatrend, has made the need for clean, zero-emission vehicles more urgent than ever."We are leading this revolution in India with smart, holistic solutions delivering exceptional performance, reliability, and convenience," he said.
"At the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, we are proud to unveil more than 50 next-generation vehicles, visionary concepts, and intelligent solutions," he added.
Rebirth of Tata Sierra
The Mumbai-based automaker has announced the brand Sierra will be reincarnated in petrol, diesel and electric powertrains. While the pricing and other details were not disclosed, SUV is anticipated to start at ₹10.50 lakh (ex-showroom) and will be pitted against the Mahindra Scorpio-N and Hyundai Creta.
Harrier.ev.
The Harrier.ev will likely be offered in various battery pack options and will come with advanced driver assistance system called ‘Summon Mode’. Tata Motors has confirmed that the electric SUV will have a dual-motor setup with all-wheel drive. However, it did not disclose the battery, driving range and motor specification for Harrier.ev.
"We have 'summoned remotely', the Harrier.ev, the most powerful and technologically advanced SUV from the Tata Motors stable," Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Managing Director Shailesh Chandra said in a release.
In the passenger vehicles segment, Tata Motors unveiled 18 new cars & SUVs. Overall, the company unveiled 32 passenger and commercial vehicles as well as various intelligent solutions at the Auto Expo in the national capital.
