BYD India unveiled the fully electric Sealion 7 electric Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 in New Delhi. The e-SUV is now open for bookings, with special offers available until February 17, 2025.
The Sealion 7 is equipped with BYD's advanced Blade Battery technology, renowned for its safety, efficiency, and durability.
Range and other Key Features
BYD India will offer the Sealion 7 with an 82.5 kWh LFP blade battery pack, and will be available in two variants: Premium and Performance. The Sealion 7 has a claimed range of up to 500 kilometres on a single charge. With ultra-fast charging capabilities, the SUV can recharge up to 80 percent in just 30 minutes.
The company claimed that The Sealion 7 is built with eco-friendly materials, reducing its environmental footprint while delivering top-tier performance. It is also equipped with BYD’s latest safety systems, including advanced driver assistance system (ADAS).
Availability and Pricing
The Sealion 7 is expected to be available for booking starting mid-2025, with deliveries slated for later in the year. While the official pricing is yet to be announced, industry experts anticipate a competitive price point to attract a wider audience.

The launch of the Sealion 7 marks BYD’s ambitious push into India, one of the fastest-growing EV markets globally. With government incentives and increasing consumer awareness of sustainable mobility, BYD aims to position itself as a major player in the Indian EV segment.
