2025 MG ZS hybrid revealed, may launch as Astor hybrid in India

2025 MG ZS hybrid: MG Motor has revealed the second generation of the ZS, which is also known as Astor in India, in a hybrid version in the United Kingdom. The second generation variant now gets a fresh design, updated interiors, and a hybrid powertrain. JSW MG Motor India may bring the updated ZS in India in 2025 and will be competing against the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara hybrid and Toyota Hyryder hybrid in the segment.

2025 MG ZS design:

The exteriors of the second-generation MG ZS are fresh and look sportier than before. The new ZS draws inspiration from the MG3 supermini and the flagship MG HS. The headlamps are revised, and the new MG ZS will be available in six colour options. The ZS will come with 17 and 18-inch wheel options.

2025 MG ZS interiors:

The interiors of the 2025 MG ZS have been revised as well. Now the 2025 ZS comes with a new 12.3-inch infotainment display with navigation services, a seven-inch digital instrument panel, automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers, heated front seats and steering wheel, six-way powered driver's seat with lumbar support, wireless charging pad, electric parking brake with auto hold.

For safety, the auto manufacturer has also given it six airbags, ABS with EBD, TPMS, ESP, hill start assist, and EBA. Additionally, the new ZS hybrid+ gets MG Pilot which is their Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS).

2025 MG ZS engine specifications:

The 2025 MG ZS has been revealed in a hybrid version. It is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine which generates 102 BHP and 128 Nm torque. There is a 1.83 kWh battery pack that is recharged by a 45 kW motor to offer short EV-only driving This has an improved fuel economy and low carbon di-oxide emissions. Combined with the engine, an electric motor is capable of producing 136 BHP and 250 Nm torque. The combined output of the hybrid set-up is 195 PS and 465 Nm.
