Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro is getting MIUI 11 early
The Redmi Note 8 Pro is in fact getting the MIUI 11 update early – it was supposed to start getting the update in the fourth wave, starting from December 18.

Redmi te 8 Pro users are taking to Xiaomi’s online MIUI forum to confirm getting MIUI 11 update, alongside sharing screenshots of said update. MIUI 11 update bumps up Android security version to October 2019 but major version stays put at Android 9 Pie – meaning, phone isn’t being updated to Android 10 just yet.

Xiaomi claims MIUI 11 update “significantly upgres design element and brings a new set of refined features with a visually enhanced interface with Dark Mode.” It brings “new customizations to popular Always-on display” in compatible phones. MIUI 11 update will also bring new dynamic ambient nature sounds fr tifications plus a new Mint Keyboard with support for over 25 Indian langus.

Xiaomi has confirmed that it will be updating as many as 28 of its devices to MIUI 11. update has started hitting Xiaomi devices in a phased manner beginning October end (from October 22 and will be completed by end of this year. Even though it has set aside to-be-updated phones into phases, actual rollout seems to be following its own course. Redmi te 8 Pro is a classic example.
Phones like Redmi te 6 Pro, Redmi 7A and Redmi te 8 were supposed to be updated to MIUI 11 in ongoing phase 3 (vember 13-vember 29) but a few of se devices have alrey received it ahe of schedule – which isn’t a b thing at all.
