Apple likely to enhance Apple Intelligence with new features, ChatGPT next month

The iOS 18.2 update means that Siri will get ChatGPT integration and Apple Intelligence will add more features in the next iterations of iOS, iPadOS, and macOS.

Apple 's first set of Apple Intelligence tools was released last week with iOS 18.1, iPOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1. se updates introduced features such as "Clean Up" in Photos, a redesigned Siri, and Writing Tools for text improvement across devices. However, several features that Apple discussed during this year's WWDC were t included. According to a new report, Apple may roll out some or all of se features in first week of December.

This update means that Siri will get integration with ChatGPT, and Apple Intelligence will d more features in next iterations of iOS, iPOS, and macOS. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman mentioned that se new features will be part of iOS 18.2 update, expected to arrive during week of December 2, "barring any unexpected delays."

While Gurman has hinted at some uncertainty regarding scheduled rollout, his previous information about exact release day of iOS 18.1 proved to be accurate.

iOS 18.2 update will integrate ChatGPT into Siri, allowing users to ask complex questions that Apple's assistant may t be able to understand. At WWDC held in June, Apple anunced its collaboration with Microsoft-backed OpenAI to bring ChatGPT to its devices. This integration will enable Siri to re iPhone 's screen and provide contextual answers based on content displayed.

ditionally, Apple is expected to introduce Genmoji feature with iOS 18.2. Genmoji allows users to create new emojis by combining two or more Unicode-based emojis, using textual or voice prompts, or even from gallery photos. company anunced a specialized API for Genmoji at WWDC.

Eligible iPhone devices, including latest iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro, will also receive a new Visual Intelligence feature, which functions similarly to Google Lens. This feature enables iPhone users to point ir camera at any object to gain AI-powered insights directly on screen.

Furrmore, iOS 18.2 update will introduce two more AI-powered tools: Im Wand and Im Playground. Im Wand allows users to create ims based on specific content, while Im Playground enables users to generate ims from prompts.
