“With Noel’s appointment, no rocking of Boat”: Shailesh Haribhakti on Noel Tata’s Appointment

In light of Noel Tata's recent appointment as chairman of Tata Trusts, Shailesh Haribhakti, Chairman of Shailesh Haribhakti & Associates, has offered insightful remarks, emphasising Tata's commendable leadership qualities. Haribhakti described Noel Tata as a "terrific man" who is likely to inspire those around him. Haribhakti in an exclusive conversation with Republic Business talked threw light on the appointment of of Noel Tata as the chairman of Tata Trusts. 

"He is very inclusive," Haribhakti stated, highlighting Tata's collaborative approach, which fosters unity and engagement among stakeholders. He noted that Tata's leadership style is reminiscent of that of Ratan Tata, yet distinctly his own. “He has his own style, so there’s no rocking of the boat,” Haribhakti added, reassuring that Tata will maintain stability within the organisation.

Haribhakti highlighted the importance of the foundational structure of Tata Trusts, remarking, "The basic trust of the structure is so clean that there is a seamless transition." This organised framework will aid Tata in his new role, allowing for continued progress in the Trusts' philanthropic and developmental initiatives.

At 67, Tata brings a wealth of experience to the position. Haribhakti noted, "He is extremely competent and mature; he has seen much," which positions Tata well to lead the Trusts through current challenges and opportunities.
