Reliance's Jamnagar Refinery At 25: Anant Ambani Pledges To Take Dhirubhai's Vision Forward

In a grand celebration at the Jamnagar Refinery, the Ambani family paid a heartfelt tribute to the late Dhirubhai Ambani, the founder of Reliance Industries. The event marked a dual milestone—the 25th anniversary of the refinery and what would have been Dhirubhai’s 92nd birthday.

Anant Ambani’s Vision for Jamnagar
Speaking at the event, Anant Ambani, Director of Reliance Industries Limited, delivered an address outlining his aspirations for Jamnagar. He pledged to uphold the legacy of his grandfather, Dhirubhai Ambani, and father, Mukesh Ambani , and further elevate Jamnagar’s stature.

“My grandfather envisioned the world’s best oil refinery, and my father brought that dream to life. Today, I am honored to inherit their legacy. I promise to fulfill every dream for Jamnagar,” Anant declared.

Ambani also confidently projected that 25 years from now - when India marks 100 years of independence - Jamnagar would attain prestige and global recognition.

‘Vantara’ and A Passion for Wildlife
Beyond business, Anant spoke about his personal commitment to environmental conservation, a value deeply inspired by his mother, Nita Ambani. He highlighted the contributions of “Vantara,” a wildlife rescue centre established by Reliance Industries and Reliance Foundation.

“Vantara is a testament to our ethos of ‘we care,” he emphasized.
