India’s biggest private bank HDFC total traded a 21.7 lakh shares were traded in a block deal on December 3, 2024, according to a Bloomberg report.

The company market cap also touched a new 52 week record high and bank’s stock surged during the day, reclaiming a market capitalization above Rs 14 lakh crore in morning trade. However, details regarding the buyers and sellers remain undisclosed.

Morgan Stanley Asia (Singapore) also purchased 17.50 lakh shares for Rs 302.47 crore at the same price.

BNP Paribas Financial Markets offloaded 43.75 lakh shares during the transaction, generating a total deal value of approximately Rs 755.49 crore, as per BSE block deal data.
