What’s new in Royal Enfield Classic 350 (2024)?
Royal Enfield’s main focus with the refreshed avatar of the Classic 350 is on the looks, and while that might entice new buyers, loyalists may find the new elements in the design off-putting. For instance, the motorcycle has a gear position indicator, which takes up more space on the cluster compared to the previous generation. An analogue-based instrument cluster with a small MID screen shows the position indicator for gears.
The most striking update, however, includes the addition of LED lights on headlamps and pilot lamp, replacing the halogen lights on the existing model. The motorcycle now has a USB-C port to let you charge your smartphone, while adjustable brake and clutch levers will improve the driving experience, according to the company. Top models have a Tripper navigation pod as a standard feature, but lower variants can receive it as an option.
The powertrain of the new Classic 350 is the same as the previous model, using the 349cc single cylinder J-series engine that debuted in 2021. You get 20.2hp power at 6,100rpm and 27Nm torque at 4,000rpm mated to a 5-speed gearbox with this engine. The braking and suspension are also the same, including dual cradle frame with 41mm telescopic fork on the front and preload adjustable twin shock on the back. The braking system uses 300mm disc on the front and 270mm on the rear, while supporting single- and dual-channel ABS options. The wheels include a 19-inch option on the front and 18-inch on the rear, but alloy and tubeless wheels will be standard on top models and offered as an option on lower trims.
