India’s Role in Jimny’s Global Journey

While Japan has always had the 3-door Jimny, the 5-door version—exclusively manufactured in India—was developed to cater to markets demanding more practicality and space.
It may be recalled that the Jimny 5-door has already been exported from India to markets in Latin America, Africa, and ASEAN countries, and its arrival in Japan adds to its global footprint.
"Jimny is the second most exported Maruti Suzuki car in FY 2024-25. After its resounding success in markets like Mexico, Australia, and South Africa, we are confident that it will delight customers in Japan. The export of Jimny reaffirms our commitment towards ‘Make-in-India for the world’.”
Key Features and Specifications
