L&T bags news projects: Infrastructure giant Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Monday said that it has secured significant new contracts both domestically and internationally for the construction of substations and transmission lines. These substantial orders were awarded to L&T's Power Transmission and Distribution (PT&D) division, as detailed in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
Classified as 'large' by the company, the order values range between Rs 2,500 crore and Rs 5,000 crore. These projects are set to enhance grid capacity, facilitating a faster transition to clean energy and ensuring a reliable and resilient power supply. In India, L&T has been entrusted with the execution of two double circuit transmission line projects. These projects aim to evacuate power from the Jaisalmer/Barmer Renewable Energy Zone in Rajasthan to substations in Madhya Pradesh, enhancing interconnections within the grid.
