PepsiCo India revenue for April-December 2023 at Rs 5,954 crore, profit Rs 217 crore

PepsiCo India revenue 2023: PepsiCo India Holdings reported consolidated revenue from operations of Rs 5,954.16 crore and a profit of Rs 217.26 crore for the period of April-December 2023, according to financial data accessed by business intelligence platform Tofler.

The total income, including other income, for the nine-month period stood at Rs 6,094.70 crore.

The company has transitioned its financial year from April-March to January-December, thus releasing results for the first three quarters of 2023. Starting January 2024, PepsiCo India will follow the calendar year as its financial year.

During these nine months, revenue from domestic sales was Rs 5,533.63 crore, while exports contributed Rs 266.19 crore to the total revenue. PepsiCo India is not a publicly listed entity.

Revenue from the snacks business, which includes brands such as Kurkure, Lays, Doritos, and Quaker, amounted to Rs 4,763.29 crore. The beverages business, featuring brands like Pepsi, 7up, Slice, Tropicana, and Gatorade, generated Rs 1,036.53 crore in revenue during the same period.

Advertising and promotional expenses for April-December 2023 totaled Rs 694.52 crore.

A PepsiCo India spokesperson commented on the results, stating, "In this 9-month period compared to the earlier 12-month period, PepsiCo India delivered resilient topline performance amid a challenging external environment. Demand for our brands remained robust backed by strong marketing campaigns, marketplace execution, and consistent focus on end-to-end productivity. We remain committed to our growth in India and continue to invest behind our brands and marketplace infrastructure to build scale while maintaining margins in what will remain a high-demand market for many years."

For the 2022-23 financial year, which spanned 12 months, PepsiCo India reported revenue from operations of Rs 8,203.19 crore and a total profit of Rs 267.43 crore. The total income for that period was Rs 8,302.34 crore.

Earlier this month, during an investors' call, PepsiCo Chairman and CEO Ramon Laguarta stressed that India is a high-demand market where the company is investing to scale up infrastructure.
