JSW MG Motor India records 7,045 units in October 2024, sales surge by 31%

MG Motors sales in October: JSW MG Motor India declared that automaker saw a total wholesale of 7,045 units in October 2024. company recorded a surge of 1,937 units and marked an increase of 31 per cent on a year-on-year basis. As compared to October 2023, company registered total sales of 5,108 units. JSW MG Motors India registered a positive outlook and saw a rise in sales of 2,457 units and witnessed a growth of 53.55 per cent on a month-on-month basis.

According to VAHAN portal, auto manufacturer witnessed an increase of 34 per cent on a year-on-year basis for October 2024. (excluding sales from Telangana)

Electric vehicle sales:

new energy vehicles (NEVs) segment contributed a substantial portion of its overall sales. As per a statement from JSW MG Motors India, new energy vehicles contributed over 70 per cent to entire sales in October 2024.

auto manufacturer has recently launched Windsor EV in India, which is a crossover utility vehicle. Within first month of its launch, Windsor EV registered total sales of 3,116 units.

According to data shared by JSW MG Motors India, domestic sales witnessed a 49 per cent contribution from electric vehicles, and internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles contributed 51 per cent of total sales in September 2024. In October, contribution in domestic sales from EV segment grew drastically and took a 70 per cent share of total sales.
