Let us see all the petrol competitors at this price point:

The Nissan X-Trail is powered by a 1.5-litre three-cylinder VC-turbo petrol engine that churns out 163 BHP and 300 Nm of peak torque. This is mated to a CVT gearbox which has a smooth shift. At Rs 49.92 lakh ex-showroom price, there are multiple options like the Volkswagen Tiguan, Hyundai Tuscon, and Skoda Kodiaq. This notable high price from Nissan has given competition to the entry-level luxury segment sedans and SUVs like Mercedes-Benz A-Class, BMW 2 series, Mercedes-Benz GLA, etc as well.

Let us see all the diesel competitors at this price point:

Since Nissan India introduced the X-Trail after a decade in India, it has been updated in some areas but misses on various aspects as well.  Considering this price, it rivals the diesel SUVs as well at the moment. Despite the emission norms getting more stringent, the demand for diesel SUVs is still on the surge among consumers. The main rivals for the Nissan X-Trail are the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian, MG Gloster, and the Isuzu MUX in this segment. Toyota Fortuner is one of the best sellers among these diesel SUVs and eyeing the price of Nissan X-Trail, some variants of Toyota Fortuner will compete against it.
