WhatsApp's New AI Feature To Enhance User Experience: Check Latest Update

WhatsApp , the Meta-owned messaging platform, is working on a new feature to introduce a dedicated tab for AI-powered chats, according to WABetaInfo. This feature aims to provide personalised user interaction by integrating AI-based tools into the app.

Personalized AI Character Creation

The new feature will allow users to create personalized AI characters, similar to Instagram and Messenger’s AI tools. Users can input personality traits and interests into a chatbox, enabling the AI to generate a character with a bio and profile picture. This feature is designed to provide a more interactive and customized user experience.

Beta Update Insights

WABetaInfo discovered this feature in the 2.25.1.26 beta update for Android. While still under development and unavailable for beta testing, earlier updates (2.25.1.24) also hinted at a separate tab for AI characters.

The new AI tab replaces the current Communities tab, however that functionality will remain available. A previous beta release earlier this week included a 'streamlined' version of Community formation in the Chats menu.

The WhatsApp beta is accessible on Google Play, however, tester numbers are restricted, and the opportunity to participate is now unavailable. We don't know when or if the AI tab will be introduced to the app's live build, but the move will most likely be confined to nations where AI features are currently accessible.
