Realme launched two new smartphones earlier this week, refreshing its sub-Rs 20,000 segment with options that have a sleek design and good specifications – at least on paper. The new Realme 13 and Realme 13 Plus 5G are touted as performers, thanks to MediaTek Dimensity processors that work in tandem with better vapour cooling chamber technology. Despite the similarities in their names and some aspects, the two phones target slightly different customers. And that is why, they also have major differences in their specifications. Let us take a look at these differences.

Realme 13 5G vs Realme 13 Plus 5G: Specifications compared

Display: The Realme 13 Plus 5G has a smaller display, measuring 6.67 inches. On the other hand, the Realme 13 has a 6.72-inch display. However, the display on the former uses a full-HD+ AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and a peak brightness of 2000 nits. Realme 13 5G’s display uses a full-HD+ 120Hz LCD with 580 nits of brightness.

Processor: The performance on the Realme 13 Plus 5G should be better than that on the vanilla model. It uses an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, paired with up to 12GB of RAM. On the other hand, the Realme 13 5G has a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, coupled with 8GB of RAM. Both phones offer up to 256GB of internal storage.

Cameras: The Realme 13 Plus 5G uses a 50MP main camera along with other cameras with unspecified sensors. The Realme 13 5G also uses a 50MP camera but has a different sensor. Both phones support optical image stabilisation (OIS), but the one on the Realme 13 Plus 5G supports 4K video recording. Both phones have a 16MP sensor for selfies and videos of up to 1080p resolution.

Battery: Both phones have a 5000mAh battery, but the Realme 13 Plus 5G offers a faster 80W wired charging. On the other hand, the Realme 13 5G’s charging speed maxes out at 45W, instead.
