Most awaited Gadgets 2024: Technology is ever-changing and as we enter 2024, tech enthusiasts around the world are excited to get their hands on the latest gadgets which are set to launch in 2024. From Apple’s premium VR headsets to Meta’s more affordable VR venture, a series of gadgets are in line to make a mark on the industry and set new standards for both users as well as other players in the market.  Here’s a list of 5 most anticipated gadget launches that techies are looking forward to in 2024. 

Apple Vision Pro

Apple’s highly anticipated flagship Vision Pro VR headset is currently under mass production and expected to hit the market in late January or early February 2024, according to Ming-Chi Kuo, a highly trusted Apple analyst.

Initially announced with a broad ‘early-2024’ release timeline during the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June, Apple's premium VR headset now has a more defined launch window.

Branding its $3,500 VR headset as ‘your own personal cinema,’ Apple is targeting its niche audience with top-of-the-line features in the pack. Apple Vision Pro not only give you an immersive experience but can also record 3D photos and videos with its 12 cameras in 6 microphones built all around the aluminium body of the headset.

Vision Pro’s micro-OLED display with 23 million pixels is designed to give more than 4K experience to each eye of the user. However, the major highlight of Vision Pro is that it completely eliminates the need to have controllers by using a tracking system built of LEDs and infrared cameras to track even the slightest eye and hand movements.  

Apple iPhone 16 series 

Apple’s iPhone 16 which is set to launch in the fall of 2024 will focus more on innovation and user experience. According to MacRumors, the upcoming lineup is expected to introduce a range of exciting features and enhancements.

Rumours suggest that the Pro" line will see larger display sizes, measuring 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches, catering to users seeking expansive screens for multimedia consumption and productivity. 

Additionally, speculations point towards the introduction of a new "capture" button along with a solid-state volume button for tactile responsiveness. 

Camera enthusiasts can also look forward to the integration of a periscope zoom lens for improved optical zoom capabilities and better image quality. Under the hood, the iPhone 16 may be powered by a faster A-series chip.

With the iPhone 16, Apple could introduce a high-end iPhone 16 "Ultra" that would be sold alongside the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. 

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo suggests that iPhone 16 is also likely to come with top-of-the-line Wi-Fi 7 support which can clock the speeds of "at least 30" gigabits per second, and could hit up to 40Gb/s.

Samsung Galaxy S24

Samsung's much-anticipated Galaxy S24 series is set to launch on January 17, with leaks revealing a comprehensive glimpse into the lineup's specifications, design, and features. Maintaining a familiar footprint, the trio—comprising the Samsung Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra—promises some major upgrades, notably in performance and imaging capabilities.

Powered by advanced chipsets, the smartphones are set to deliver better AI functionalities and superior image processing, complemented by larger vapor chambers for improved cooling and sustained performance. 

Display specifications of the company’s flagship devices range from a 6.2-inch FullHD+ screen on the S24 to expansive 6.8-inch QHD+ displays on the Ultra variant, all boasting a fluid 120Hz refresh rate. 

The S24 Ultra could feature a 200MP primary sensor and with 5x optical zoom capabilities. Additionally, varying RAM configurations, storage options, and vibrant colours are going to be part of the overall S24 package. 

Meta Ventura

Meta's Project Ventura emerges as a highly anticipated addition to the company's VR and AR product lineup, set to democratise mixed reality experiences with an attractive price point.

Initially rumoured to debut around $200, subsequent reports, including insights from renowned tech analyst Mark Gurman, indicate Meta's strategy of offering the headset at a $300 price mark, with the option of purchasing controllers separately. 

With this, Meta is trying to balance affordability with functionality, targeting a broader audience in India and other Asian countries, its biggest market. 

While specific details regarding optics, processor capabilities, and other key features remain undisclosed, the emphasis on cost-effective components suggests that Project Ventura may shy away from certain features to differentiate it from the premium Quest 3 model priced at $500. 

New Dell XPS Laptops 2024

Dell's upcoming XPS series, one of the most promising laptop series from the brand, is all set to introduce some new fresh features in the series. The XPS 13 is expected to maintain its existing design while Dell may launch the new XPS 14, a novel addition drawing parallels with the XPS 13 Plus but different by the introduction of the latest Intel CPUs and Nvidia GPUs, traditionally exclusive to the XPS 15.

Additionally, the introduction of the XPS 16 signals a departure from prior iterations, purportedly succeeding the XPS 17. With Intel's forthcoming Core Ultra CPUs and Nvidia GeForce RTX 40 series graphics, the XPS 16 can be the series' powerhouse.
