Apple is coming up with the new generation of iPhone devices on September 9. While the company traditionally does not reveal its launch plans, reports are rife that the event will see the debut of at least four iPhone models: iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. While the new, shiny iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro series will entice buyers, last year’s iPhone 15 has a sweet deal on it. Flipkart is currently selling the iPhone 15 at about Rs 14,000 discount ahead of the iPhone 16 debut next month.

The iPhone 15 is available for Rs 65,999 on Flipkart, down from its original price of Rs 79,600. The launch price of the device was Rs 79,900, but Apple recently reduced it by Rs 300 after the Indian government cut customs duty on imported mobile phones and components. While it may not be a significant drop in the price, customers have been able to buy iPhone 15 for as low as Rs 60,000 on third-party shopping websites previously. The current price of Rs 65,999 can also be reduced further if you go for bank cards while making an online payment.

iPhone 15 vs iPhone 16

The iPhone 15 is currently one of the best smartphones you can buy. It has a top-notch processor, a display that looks great, and cameras that can offer professional-level photography. However, Apple has excluded the iPhone 15 from the list of devices eligible for the company’s artificial intelligence, dubbed Apple Intelligence. Citing the lack of adequate RAM capacity, Apple said the iPhone 15 will not receive the generative AI features. If that is a priority for you, you can skip the iPhone 15 and wait for the launch of the iPhone 16. The next iPhone model is expected to become available in India in the first wave, so the wait may not be much longer.
