'Just Show Us Your Code...' Elon Musk Wants Coders For Everything App - What Is It Really?
To be eligible for the job one just needs to be a passionate coder.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has announced a job offer for "hardcore software engineers" to build 'everything app'.
Who All Are Eligible?
To be eligible for the job one just needs to be a passionate coder.
Musk's Post
In a social media post, Elon Musk said that he is on the lookout for 'hardcore software engineers' to share their best work on the given mail. He also added that traditional qualifications of a coder are not a priority for said vacancy, instead, what matters is the coding ability of the engineer.
He also said that it does not matter where the candidates have worked previously or where they have earned their degrees from as long as they are dedicated software engineers.
“If you’re a hardcore software engineer and want to build the everything app, please join us by sending your best work to code@x.com. We don’t care where you went to school or even whether you went to school or what ‘big name’ company you worked at. Just show us your code," Musk posted on X.
Why This Unique Approach?
Musk has always had a unique approach to education and he prioritises skill-based learning over traditional learning.
Earlier, he has also argued for a problem-solving-focused education system, instead of memorisation or standardised tests.
What Is The Larger Purpose Behind This App?
The ide behind 'everything app' is that it is supposed to be a comprehensive platform that provides a variety of services like messaging, e-commerce and others, according to a Reuters report.
These apps, often known as super apps are very popular in Asia ad tech companies worldwide have attempted to replicate it.
