Infosys partners with Nvidia to bring gen AI-based solutions to telcos

Infosys today announced a partnership with Nvidia, as a part of which it will develop gen AI-powered solutions for telecom companies.

Infosys partners with Nvidia: Infosys has announced a partnership with Nvidia. As a part of this partnership, the two companies will work together for developing generative AI-powered solutions for telecom companies. Infosys said that Infosys Topaz will be its first AI-based product that will leverage generative AI to provide services, solutions, and platforms to the telecom companies.

"Through our collaboration with NVIDIA, we are poised to unlock cutting-edge enterprise AI capabilities, helping global organizations improve business efficiency. By integrating NVIDIA’s advanced AI technologies with Infosys Topaz, we aim to transform network service design, NOC operations, and contact center functionalities," Infosys, EVP and Global Industry Leader - Communications, Media and Technology, Anand Swaminathan, said today.

What is Infosys Topaz?

For the unversed, Infosys Topaz is powered by four of Nvidia's generative AI solutions. These include Nvidia NIM inference micro-services that offers community-based AI models and API, Nvidia NeMo that is an end-to-end platform for developing custom gen-AI models, Nvidia NeMo Guardrails that enables customisation and deployment of domain-specific LLM models, and Nvidia Riva that can be used for building real-time conversational AI pipelines for real-time transcription and translations for call center agents. Simply put, Infosys Topaz is an amalgamation of all these solution.

How will Infosys Topaz benefit companies?

Infosys said that it has developed three Infosys Topaz-powered generative AI solutions. These solutions are:

-- TOSCA Network Service Design: It uses NVIDIA generative AI to create and customise TOSCA (Topology and Orchestration Specification for Cloud Applications) templates for streamlining the network service design process.

-- Infosys Cortex: It's a generative AI-driven contact center transformation platform. It creates realistic customer simulations so that trainee agents can practice their skills in a completely immersive environment.

-- An Nvidia generative AI-powered smart networking operating center allows network engineers and network operations experts to troubleshoot issues faster and accurately.

These solutions will increase efficiency and productivity and enhance the overall experience of contact center agent training by optimising the end-to-end generative AI pipeline and inference costs.
