Airtel customers across India experienced significant service disruptions on Thursday, December 26, with issues affecting both mobile and broadband connectivity. Users took to social media to report their concerns, particularly from Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

Key Issues Faced by Users

Mobile Internet Problems: 39 per cent of complaints were about disrupted mobile internet access. Another 39 per cent of users reported total service blackouts. 22 per cent faced no signal issues on their devices.
This outage severely impacted daily routines, leaving users unable to make calls, access the internet, or use essential services.

Impact on Businesses 

Employees working remotely faced challenges joining virtual meetings or accessing cloud services. Families encountered interruptions in streaming services, online classes, and other digital activities.
Many customers expressed their frustrations on X (formerly Twitter), sharing reports of dropped calls, no internet, and complete disconnection.

Airtel’s Response

Airtel has yet to provide an official explanation for the disruption. However, the company did respond to customer complaints, stating:
"We are sorry for the hassle you had to face. We value our customers' feedback to improve our services. There’s an outage in your area which will be resolved by 2:22:06 PM today. Thank you."

Replying to a User, Airtel Responded after an hour on the revival of services.
