Aadhaar update deadline: The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has extended the last date for updating Aadhaar details for free. Aadhaar holders in India can update all their Aadhaar related details in India online for free until September 14. On the other hand, updating Aadhaar details at Aadhaar Seva Kendra costs Rs 50.

It is worth noting that earlier the deadline to update Aadhaar details online for free was set to June 14. Prior to that, this deadline was set to March 14. Now, UIDAI has updated this deadline again and set it to later this month.

How to update Aadhaar details online?

Here is a step-by-step guide that will help you update your Aadhaar details online:

Step 1: Visit the official UIDAI website.

Step 2: Click on the 'Update Demographic Data and Check Status’ option.

Step 3: Now log in to the portal using your Aadhaar details and the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.

Step 4: Enter your Aadhaar number and the captcha.

Step 5: Click on 'Send OTP' option. Once you get the OTP on your registered mobile number, enter it in the space provided.

Step 6: Now select 'Update Demographics Data' option.

Step 7: Select the relevant options on the following page and then click on the 'Proceed' option.

Step 8: Now upload all the relevant documents.

Step 9: Review all the details that you have entered.

Step 10: Submit the change request.
