Republic Bharat Sangam brings together notable personalities from literature, music, and culture to celebrate and preserve India’s traditions.
During a rapid-fire round at Republic Bharat Sangam, actor Vikrant Massey was asked about his political aspirations and the party he would choose if he were a politician. He cryptically responded, "You can get the answer in the coming years."
“If you were a politician, what party would you be in?” he was asked during the event. In response, Massey said - “Ye sawal bhayankar hai. Iska jawab aapko kuchh saalon mein mil jayega (This is a tough question. You will get the answer in the coming years.” When the moderator probed him further at the end of the rapid-fire round, the Mirzapur and Sabarmati actor said - ‘I am with the right side’.
Republic Bharat is hosting its event, Sangam - Sahitya, Sur, aur Shakti (Literature, Music, and Power), on December 20 at its Noida headquarters. The event aims to promote India’s rich cultural heritage through literature, music, and discussions on power dynamics.
R Bharat Sangam: A Star-Studded Lineup
The event features an illustrious guest list, including Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, singer Swati Mishra, poet Anamika Ambar Jain, Kathak dancer Dr Sonal Mansingh, humorist Surendra Sharma, actors Raghubir Yadav and Annu Kapoor, among others.
Massey on Acting
Speaking at the summit, Massey shared an anecdote about his tweet on retirement and how the idea of PM Modi watching his film made him nervous. “I realized I need to better myself as an actor, which is why I felt a break was needed,” he explained.
“On the night of Dec 2, I had tweeted about it (retirement). At that moment, I realized that PM Modi would be watching my film. I got nervous, and I was unable to sleep the whole night because the country's biggest superstar would be watching my film. I realized that I have to better myself as an actor so I felt a break was needed,” said Vikrant Massey at the Republic Media Network's Sangam Summit.
